Flood in Western Georgia: Rescuers taking population from two affected villages by boats
Villages of Zhoneti and Opurchkheti in the Imereti region, Western Georgia, have been flooded by the Rioni river. Reportedly these villages are isolated as the road towards the settlement has been damaged and several cars were stuck at the road.
Employees of the Imereti Emergency Situations Service are at the locale of the incident and rescuers are taking population from the villages by boats, the InterPressNews agency reports.
